McSame: "I admire and respect" (bigot) Hagee, "glad to have his endorsement" |
|
Edited on Sun Apr-20-08 03:58 PM by jackson_dem
-snip-
McCain said it was "probably" a mistake to solicit and accept Hagee's endorsement, "but I admire and respect Dr. Hagee's leadership ... of his church. I admire and appreciate his advocacy for the state of Israel" and is "glad to have his endorsement."

3. Yes, if we nominate Clinton |
|
If we nominate Obama such attacks would have no credibility due to Obama's pastor.

7. What is the logic of attacking McSame over this if our nominee has Wright? |
|
Wright is Obama's mentor and was his pastor. Hagee is one guy who endorsed McSame. There is also the simple math. Wright's comments offended a lot more people than Hagee's. Even if you accept the notion, which makes no sense, that Hagee could be used against McSame if Obama is the nominee it would be a political loser anyway since playing the bigoted cleric game would never be a winner for Obama.

10. Because most of what Wright said was said when Obama was 8 yrs. old. |
|

And I don't think a lot of what Wright said was that far off the money.

18. That's the problem. He is a hero to the netroots but has an 8% favorable rating in the real world |
|
Edited on Sun Apr-20-08 07:29 PM by jackson_dem
People on the netroots don't realize how much of a problem Wright would be in the general election because they think he is great and don't recognize how toxic he is to the rest of society.
You are confusing Wright with Ayrers. Obama attended Wright's church as an adult.

14. "Wright's comments offended a lot more people...".. |
|
That's because Wright's comments were played 24/7, and the general public doesn't know the implications of Hagee's philosophy.
The scenario is that Armageddon is bound to happen - in fact his followers are thirsting for it. But the worst is that, at the end times, Jews will be expected to accept Jesus as the Messiah or they will be killed.
I find that to be disrespect for all Judaism stands for. Hagee is a worthless bigot. As is John McCain for not speaking out against Hagee's hate speech.

19. I am talking about who his comments targeted |
|
Hagee is bigoted against Catholics and Jews. That is slightly more than one-quarter of the population. Whites alone, who Wright bashed, comprise over 70% of the population.

4. Give the senile old fool a break |
|
Hagee was the only well known wingnut preacher who would give him a tumble. He's got Ron Parsley on his team, but Parsley isn't that well known. Hagee is.
You just know he's counting on all those religious votes to come in as they slavishly follow Hagee's ramblings, don't you?
Let the poor old fart have his fantasy. He has so few pleasures in life these days.

|
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/D._James_KennedyBoth are nothing but business men. The only difference is Kennedy is dead and Hagee will be soon. Fucking glutton. Suits by Omar the Tent Maker.

13. Is there a contradiction in this statement? |
|
McCain said it was "probably" a mistake to solicit and accept Hagee's endorsement, "but I admire and respect Dr. Hagee's leadership ... of his church. I admire and appreciate his advocacy for the state of Israel" and is "glad to have his endorsement."
Why would it "probably" a mistake to solicit and accept Hagee's endorsement if McSame is "glad to have his endorsement."?
This is another example of many, showing McSame's Hypocrisy.
“Hypocrisy, my friends, is the most obvious of political sins — and the people will punish it.” John McCain
