Oil rose to a new all-time record for the 10th business day in a row. Today's record has so far reached $119.85 per barrel and the national average for gas is $3.52 per gallon.
Fossil fuels are on a rail.

8. I love my mother but she keeps telling me oil will be found out to be renewable. |
|
She is a Republican and voted for Bush twice. I want to tell her that if she thinks peak oil is a lie than shy did she vote for the people who are contributing to swindling her and my father from their money and every thime they go to fill up their gas tanks? Sigh. Its kind of hard to hate Rethugs when they are your parents. At least my Dad recycles and they even bought flourestcent light bulbs for their house. I think I have a bit of small influence on them even though they would never admit it.

9. i had a forest ranger in his 60s from Idaho tell me |
|
that there's plenty of oil in the US (north slope, oil sands, etc.), and its the environmentalists that won't let us extract it.
they're in denial. admitting that they ignorantly contributed to screwing the planet is just not on the menu.

10. They may very well be correct in saying the oil is there. But... |
|

can it be profitably extracted? If it could be, there's not a damn thing the environmentalists could do to keep it from being extracted.

12. So far you've been right about oil Texas Explorer |
|
We had a discussion a while back and I though $112 would pretty much be tops. I've been super bullish on oil for the last two years, but this has surpassed my wildest expectations.
