Star Jones files for divorce; meanwhile, in other news...
Okay, here's the windup:

Three years after tying the knot in a spectacular, over-the-top affair that caused some backlash, Star Jones has decided to end her marriage to banker Al Reynolds.

The 46-year-old TV personality quietly filed divorce papers March 26 in New York Supreme Court in Manhattan. The records are sealed, syndicated entertainment show "Entertainment Tonight" reported Wednesday.

And now for the pitch:

A little over eight years ago, ginbarn and I got married in Las Vegas, NV at the Little Chapel of the Flowers. The wedding was beautiful, but on the cheap. And guess what? We're still married.

It doesn't matter how much money you throw at a wedding if you and your spouse part ways in the end. What matters is whether or not the two of you are willing and able to make it work.

Just my two cents...

1. What will we tell the children?
About the sanctity of marriage?

3. Headline should read: Right wing family values hypocrite gets divorced
In the article she blames the media for her marriage breakup. The media she invited in a big way to her loud, vulgar wedding!

5. I always wanted a huge, over-the-top wedding,
but wanted to leave the husband at the reception hall. I was interested in a bash where I would be the star, but not the compromise and (what I view as) constraints of marriage.

I think when people do have weddings like Star Jones's, that the focus isn't on the meaning of marriage, as much as it is on ME and how people will ooh and aah.

I'm referring to crazed weddings like SJ's -- the Hollywood weddings, not the big weddings that the rest of us "real" people have.

11. As Jeff Foxworthy says...
Women look at weddings differently than guys. They dream about it and plan it from the time they are little girls. Don't believe me. Note the following:

1: There is no such thing as Groom Magazine.

2: There is no such thing as the GI Joe Fantasy Wedding set.

3: No father ever took his son aside and said "Son I wore this tuxedo when I married your Mom and I've saved it hoping one day you could wear it".

Hey I thought it was funny.

8. She had SPONSORS!?!?!?
:wtf:

According to that article, she took shit over talking up her wedding and plugging its sponsors on "The View."

Tell me: what kind of a media-circus wedding are you running when you get it SPONSORED?
