While the democrats plans when combined are currently ahead it needs to be by even a bigger margin.

Do you think the U.S. health care system needs to be reformed? * 6519 responses
Yes 95%
No 5%
If yes, which candidate's approach do you favor? * 6787 responses
29% Barack Obama: Americans could keep employer-based coverage or use a new national health plan similar to Congress'. Employers required to cover workers or contribute to national pool for the poor or unemployed. Coverage mandated for children.
30% Hillary Clinton: Americans could keep existing employer-based coverage, choose from private options available to Congress or access a new national health plan similar to Medicare. All Americans would be required to have coverage.
42% John McCain: No mandates. Americans could keep existing coverage or have the option of receiving a tax credit of $2,500 for individuals and $5,000 for families to offset the cost of private insurance. Savings could be put in a health savings account.

I think there are morons out there that think they will get a check in the mail if McCain's plan were adopted. They really don't get that it's really another tax dodge for the rich.

Obama.. they are going to split the vote like they have all season.. You need to add them up against McCain. I would hope that people on dem side would pick H.C. and push Obama's a little further to the progressive side.

On Edit: I think you are right about McCain's money plan.. I think people think they will get $5000.00 from the govt.. at that point most without healthcare would just use it to help them pay bills and pay for gas and food. AND not get healthcare.
