3. I sent Barney an email days ago
to tell him I would be watching him tonight. I LOVE it when he's on this show. Don't miss the after show internet only portion either. The after show is always great when Barney is on.

4. John Ridley's imdb bio
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0725983/

He is credited with "Story" for 3 Kings so he's probably cool in my book. Looks like a good one. Last week was such a dud.

7. This Could Be "Good Ugly"
Scarborough has been all over the boooosh regime for several months and won't play the regime's appologist like past guest (Michael Steele) have. I am not familiar with Ridley. And what can one say about Barney, but to admire the man's cajones and sit back and enjoy him in an environment where he can really turn it loose.

The last couple years, Mahrer has tried to find "moderate" Repugnicans to appear or tried to make the show "balanced". Hopefull he's given up on that losing idea...since no wingnut watches this (HBO isn't available in most trailer parks...unless they steal it...LOL).

9. Can only hope Mr Hersh drops yet another anti-admin bomb.....
The Repug spin-machine tries so hard but they simply cannot discredit him - makes me think that his sources in the Pentagon and the Administration are proof positive that there are still some good people left.

Edited on Fri Mar-02-07 01:14 PM by OmmmSweetOmmm
but also very naive, and held the discussion back with her interjections.

Really excited to see that Barney is on the panel and Sy!!!!! Wow, can't wait to hear him!

14. he hit on the head with this comment
"So, does this mean that Joe Biden or Howard Dean should automatically be president? Of course not. But next time some real nasty shit happens to this country, remember, it might have something to do with our election process having turned into an episode of "Survivor."

"And by the way, if we're going to choose our presidents by which one never misspeaks, how did we end up with the chimp we have now?!"

17. He did, indeed!
Last week's show did kind of suck, except for the opening, and "New Rules" - he was spot-on with that one.

This week should be better for sure!

26. that woman is just about to start a job at the AEI. most of what she
said was meaningless blather, lofty-sounding but politcobabble.

to be fair, she's been the target of 'Isloamofascists,' who murdered the Dutch filmmaker, so there's that, but AEI???

on which side do you think her sympathies lie?

18. scarborough, if on the panel, will dominate the conversation, as he's done
Edited on Fri Mar-02-07 09:28 PM by Gabi Hayes
at least twice in the past on Maher's show

he NEVER shuts up.

that said, this could be a decent show, in contrast to the first two, (EDIT: except for Craig Ferguson, of whose presence somebody above reminded me) which were among the VERY worst he's ever had, and that's saying something

eyebleedingly boring, predictable, nonsense spewing from everybody on both those shows; not even a wingnut firebreather to hate on

23. good point....it'd be sort of like impeachment central, ca. 1998-9 revisitied.
I can't wait to hear what Barney has to say to Internboy, with his fake-populism-in-search-of-Olbermann's-ratings

I hope they mix it up, and Frank exposes him for the FAR right wing shill he is and always will be
