For those looking for information about their stimulus payments... |
|
https://sa2.www4.irs.gov/irfof/IRServlet?app=IRACTCEnter SSN, filing status and total number of exemptions. There was no information on ours even though we did our taxes in Febuary.

10. Well, it's not like we're not "doing our part" to "stimulate" the economy as it is... |
|
...what with house repairs for this old 1946 house of ours and the 2 new computers we just bought that were built in Seattle.

We also had to amend ours some weeks later because of some late additions to our deductions. We never heard anything on it and the IRS assigned us a tax advocate because of it being inactive for so long.
I'm concerned that the rebate may be delayed. Might call them this afternoon.

4. No info on mine either |

And we filed in January, I think. Well, I'm scheduled for May 9th, so hopefully I'll have something before then.

5. I'm just trying to figure out if ours is going to be direct deposit or not |
|
We had to pay federal, so I don't have any precedent as to whether our "STFU funds" are just going to show up in our account by the early date or if we should expect a paper check by the later date.
'Course, not that it matters. As with all checks that enter our household, "money come in, money go out"--all within a matter of minutes. Thanks for the economy, repukes. Way to go.

6. Call them. I taked to them yesterday and they were really |
|
helpful and kind.
I was calling to let them know we didn't receive a statement about the stimulus check that they recommended we hang onto until next year's tax time. They confirmed we would be getting ours today via direct deposit. They also said the statements are going out in a couple weeks, behind the payments.
Ours is in the bank this morning.

Go through the menus and get a live person for tax questions, not stimulus question, otherwise, you'll end up with the automated system. They will transfer you to a live person in the stimulus check dept.

9. got this weird message |
|
Remember, in order to qualify for the Stimulus Payment, you must have filed your 2007 tax return more than 6 weeks ago.
I thought taxes were due on April 15th to get the money

11. I heard somewhere that they're doing the early e-filers first and |
|
direct depositing because they have those processed and direct deposit is quicker than printing checks.

I mailed my tax return on April 14 and not only did I receive my refund yesterday (direct deposit) I'm supposed to receive my 'stimulus rebate' next Tuesday, also by direct deposit.

13. We're really stressing about this. |
|
When I enter the info, it says there is no specific info at this time--but according to the chart, we should have been in the batch that was supposedly "moved up" from May 9th to today--we used direct deposit, and filed months ago.
I really hope it comes tomorrow, because nothing showed up today. :scared:

14. We're in the same situation |
|
We filed in February, and I thought ours was "moved up" to this week. But nothing so far. My fingers are crossed for Monday.
