Sitting down to play DU
For so many reasons.

For the sheer joy of knowing I can.

For the halibut. Aww cmon, I'm a fish. Wouldn't you use it if you were?

For the pain it takes away. Friends here and not here suffering.

For peace as I always do, for in my playing there is prayer. For the things that Must Be. Peace now and for all time. Nothing else is more important than war's demise as a conquered malady of mankind.

For you. DU. You. Ever looking and loud to the world about the state of things. Never fully agreeing on anything, save that we are at our hearts wanting the best for the world.

For TG and G2. Patient as saints with me, yet all the while screaming at me to get that FUCKING SET ALREADY YOU PUTZ, you dance like Kelly on it when you let it all go right. Yeah Gene Kelly. That magician. And I do. And I bless Powers that gave me it, cuz by Dunmanifestin's Columns I has me some happy guns.

Gotta slam y'all, listen to the wind.....

:loveya: :loveya: :loveya: <--- and that's all there is to it. :)

Edited on Sat May-10-08 01:34 PM by Swamp Rat
listening to the album... "another endless day..."

Another endless day
Silhouettes of grey
Another glass of wine
Drink with eyes that shine
To days without that chill at morning
Nights time out of mind

Draw another goblet
From the cask of '43
Crimson misty memory
Hazy glimpse of me
Give me back my wonder
I've something more to give
I guess it doesn't matter
There's not much more to live

Another foggy dawn
The mountain almost gone
Another doubtful fear
The road is not so clear
My soul grows ever weary
And the end is ever near

Draw another goblet
From the cask of '43
Crimson misty memory
Hazy glimpse of me
Give me back my wonder
I've something more to give
I guess it doesn't matter
There's not much more to live

13. ... and the meek shall inherit the Earth...
:headbang:

We've taken care of everything
The words you hear, the songs you sing
The pictures that give pleasure to your eyes
It's one for all and all for one
We work together, common sons
Never need to wonder how or why

We are the Priests of the Temples of Syrinx
Our great computers fill the hallowed halls
We are the Priests, of the Temples of Syrinx
All the gifts of life are held within our walls

Look around at this world we've made
Equality our stock in trade
Come and join the Brotherhood of Man
Oh, what a nice, contented world
Let the banners be unfurled
Hold the Red Star proudly high in hand

We are the Priests of the Temples of Syrinx
Our great computers fill the hallowed halls
We are the Priests, of the Temples of Syrinx
All the gifts of life are held within our walls
