That are killing us with high oil prices. They keep buying it up because the dollar is so low, and then they sell it off and buy it up again when the price drops. They stock pile oil and are using it to gain back the billions they lost in bad housing loans. If he really wanted to do something he should start at home with his "base" of rich, greedy self centered corporations and investors who don't give a shit about the people of this country, only their profits!

and a cheap show for people who don't know any better.
There is no oil shortage. None. Some fields are showing lower production but we are far from seeing the absolute last dregs of oil. This price runup is entirely due to hedge funds gaming commodities futures, aided by Stupid buying up the expensive oil and beating war drums.
Meanwhile, he refuses to release oil from the Strategic Reserve to glut the market and knock those speculator prices down. In fact, he's more concerned with protecting the profits of the hedge funds than giving relief to working people who are suffering.
If he's going to the Saudis, you can bet they're all laughing at us on the other side of the closed door.
