Maliki Stalls US Plan to Frame Iran

1. Maliki was never going to be the good buddy BushCo hoped he'd be

The man heads the Dawa Party, which has long fought for an Islamic state in Iraq. Dawa supported the Iranian Islamic Revolution. Many of its members went to Iran and fought Saddam's forces in the war between those two countries.

This was all known before Maliki was tipped by BushCo for the Iraqi PM spot.

So...is this continuing destabilizing influence just what BushCo wanted, or are they just that stupid that they couldn't see Maliki's dalliance with Iran as a potential problem?

Either way, I really have no sympathy for ANYONE in this except a) the Iraqis, b) the Iranians and c) our troops, all of whom are caught in the middle of a civil and sectarian war that was caused by Bush**.

2. I think Maliki is taking his time for the next President. They are done with Bush and company.
