2. He lived a long time with cancer
I think he had Hodgkin's Disease. Maybe I'm wrong. But he fought this fight for a long time.

He was a good guy.

4. Wow. I think he's been battling cancer for years. I remember him on
Imus' show a few years ago. He was a big contributor to the ranch and other causes.

5. Oh, no. Man, talk about a fighter

and a man made very, very wise by the disease. He survived two different kinds of cancer.

Nothing but respect for his bravery and ability to speak frankly about his fears and battle.

He had multiple myeloma - the same cancer that Geraldine Ferraro has been living with for years.

RIP Ham

He and Jody Powell were quite a team, great campaign strategists.

He wrote a very good book, too about getting good quality cancer care.."No Such Thing As A Bad Day"

11. Wow...he was REALLY young as the Chief of Staff - early 30s!
What a level of responsibility for someone seemingly so young at the time...

My condolences to his family & friends.

13. Yeah
I remember. I was a teen then, and I remember Jordan (always pronounced Jerdan) being notably young.
