About ten years ago I read a story in a magazine about one of Limbaugh's expensive houses and how elaborate the bathrooms were. The faucets were gold-plated as well as the throne, the floors were carpeted, paintings were on the walls, and they were the size of parlors. And then on his website a few years ago, Limbaugh was proudly displaying the restroom in his broadcasting studio which had undergone similar improvements and upgrades, apparently because he spends a lot of time in the restroom and wants it to be a special place.

don't feel bad about listening. sometimes I do, too. I think there is nothing wrong with knowing your enemy. In fact if I was an action oriented individual instead of a dreamer, I'd go to the media forum and suggest that every day someone listens to one of these gas bags for five minutes and report back to the group, what they are saying. I think we would discover a concerted effort, to sway opinion, coming from the very top. It's not willy-nilly jive talk, it's an agenda.

But seriously, I believe there's no harm in listening to right-wing radio as long as you can balance it out with moderates and progressives. Continuously listening to any show will have the same effect as listening to audio training classes on CD while you drive: you'll eventually absorb it.

Most of the progressive host's shows are available on podcasts now.
