5. A jury in a "trial" with no legitimate defendant |
|
The defendant in that one sided trial was someone who claimed it was a conspiracy; to obtain a public airing of their views, the King family elected to sue this man, whose defense was essentially "yep, it was a conspiracy, but I had little to do with it". There was no one involved in the case that made any effort to refute the one sided story being told. I continue to be amazed at how many posters at DU think JFK, RFK, and MLK, among other prominent Americans, were assassinated with the assistance of the U.S. government, and that 9/11 was known to and perpetrated by the U.S. government. I have my issues with the Bush administration, Congress, and my local state legislature, and I agree that members of these groups often know more than they disclose publicly, but I simply don't believe that any of these institutions were involved in these terrible crimes (in the sense they perpetrated them) nor do I think any of them would be capable of doing so in the manner suggested without credible evidence of such wrongdoing coming to light.
