i suspect this McClellan business |

is a load.
seems like they are "acknowledging" propaganda because they know everyone already knows it, but still playing the faux fox-versus-"teh-libruhl-meedja" gimmick- claiming that dick cheney wanted to explain himself via fox so that everyone else would have to cite them, for example.
i figured that months before the GE, there would be a massive campaign against *, that former loyalists would suddenly come out and "out" him, confirming but not confirming "liberal suspicions," but either way, they already got what they wanted, and really have nothing to lose. it'll be forgotten by novemeber by party loyalists and what have you, and they still have their hands on a lot of money and immunity they already set up.
something just seems stinky about this.
>///*>
forgive me- i'm sure this is no revelation- just had to get that out of my system, after being nauseated watching him on countdown last night (btw, i never watch tv, not even countdown {i catch it online}, usually- at most, i'll watch spongebob or MASH, which was quite compelling last night- an injured soldier kept trying to commit suicide and in the end opened up in a particularly dramatic scene).

???
please explain?? what does it "tell" about me? :( ouch.
i'm just a bit suspicious...
some of what he is saying is compelling, but it just seems that he's leaving juuust enough out.
or if it's the countdown thing- i watch KO online, but i hate tv. period.
i guess the spongebob thing could make me look foolish, but i mean that i watch it with my kids.
it's kind of hard to trust ANYONE at this point. i've had trouble trusting even democrats after the crap i've seen over the last 8 years. it's really been quite traumatic, and continues to be. if they've done anything, they've managed to make me a very cynical and untrusting person.
forgive me if i'm not willing to jump all over a republican apologist, someone who was so close to the decider.
is it "telling" about you that you didn't at least elaborate? should i assume this was a hit and run? the only reason i won't is b/c i see you are a relatively long-time poster.
and i thought GD:P was brutal...

3. Does what he says hurt you or us in any way? |
|
So you don't trust him, who does? Why bash him? Because of him the MSM's attention is temporarily focused on how Republicans govern. Why do you want to bash that attention?

who's bashing?
i agree that the focus being on * and acknowledging the massive propaganda campaign is a good thing, however, the very fact that the MSM is pushing it so hard simply makes me wonder- maybe there is a reason they are giving him so much attention, and maybe it's not necessarily whistleblowing so much as it's part of some gameplan.
edit to add: so an answer to your question is yes, perhaps i think it has the potential to be damaging to us in some way. kind of like mccain "criticizing" bush's "handling" of the "war" and how "awful" it is- is that supposed to make me think he can be trusted? b/c he's willing to criticize bush, even though i know he's not sincere and has an agenda and every intention of keeping us there and expanding conflicts elsewhere?
how exhausting that i'm expected to just automatically cheer and buy into it and accept that he necessarily has good intentions, or if i don't, that's "telling" about me or i'm "bashing" and maybe i should keep it to myself.
i just don't get that logic- that questioning one's motives is "bashing."
it's the same with a certain group of "supporters" here saying that criticizing a certain person for things she has said or done without regards to the "spin" is bashing, or freepers elsewhere in the past who say the same with regards to criticism of bush.
maybe i need a fucking break from politics and get back into yoga. i thought this was a goddamned discussion board, but if i'm not on board with the general analysis, i'm "bashing." :eyes:
namaste and all that.

5. You want to know the funniest part of all of this? |
|
Bush, Rove, et. al. now know that the only way to get anyone to believe them is to put something out as "traitorous revelations" and then to fight it tooth and nail.

9. Bush invaded Iraq to spread Democracy in the Middle East... |
|
And Cheney didn't intentionally lie about Iraq's Nuclear WMD's. No, really. It's true I tell you. Why, Scott McClellan swears this is true in his new "tell all" book. Here, listen for yourself: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=385x139752
