From NARAL:
Today the secretary of state confirmed that a dangerous and divisive anti-choice ballot qualified for the November ballot.
.... Californians spoke loudly and clearly TWO TIMES before when they voted to protect teen safety by rejecting Prop. 73 in 2005 and Prop. 85 in 2006. We are confident they will reject this new measure again because voters understand that the safety of our teens is at stake
Every major medical association recognized the harm that divisive measures like this one would cause. Doctors, nurses, teachers, family practitioners, counselors, and parents know the best way to protect teens is to begin talking to them from early age responsible, appropriate sexual behavior and to make sure they have the safe medical care they need, when they need it.
Once again, anti-choice millionaires are funding a ballot measure that put teens’ health and safety at risk, while they refuse to support ways to improve family communication and ensure teens have the information they need to prevent an unintended pregnancy in the first place. Help us defeat the ballot measure once again and let proponents of this bill know: three strikes and you’re out.
Pledge to Vote NO again
