Cheney had been living in TX for years running Haliburton. So they quickly had him register to vote in WY so he would be constitutionally eligible to be Chimpy's veep.

1) It violates the conventional wisdom that the running mate should come from another region in order to pull in voters from a region where the top of the ticket isn't as strong. 2) As others have already mentioned, it's un-Constitutional for running mates to reside in the same state. That's why Dr. Evil moved back to Wyoming.

Christ he was even out talking it up before the big release date the WH had planned. Better than any Republican but I don't consider him VP material any more. Too stupid. Or he thinks we are?
