Anybody remember in Reagan's first term that he was caught
by a photographer asleep in a Summit meeting? I saw the picture in newsprint and shortly after that the White House scheduled nap time in the middle of the afternoon.

I sure would like to find that pic again and make a poster about age in the Oval Office . . .

1. since many Americans almost revere Reagan

I'm not sure that you want to do that.

Now Cheney asleep during a cabinet meeting would be a better bet.

They are singing praises to Saint Ronny out on the courtyard. Even free food can't make me sit through that.

8. I think Reagan is irrelevant in voters' minds.
Not in mine - he is a demonstration of why you should not have an old corrupt Republican idiot as president, but I think we've already lost the battle on his legacy. At least for now.

11. Tell me about it
My husband has been using my laptop these past few days. After experiencing a morning of dysfunctional keys, I think I've finally shaken out the last of the debris.

I wish I could do the same for my head.

2. In his 2nd term, he was caught selling arms to Iran to fund death squads in Nicaragua
but nothing came of it, beyond some very serious scoldings.

10. It did happen, but I can't locate any picture.
During Reagan's 1988 Moscow summit with Gorbachev, the New York Times noted that the President had fallen asleep at a meeting with Soviet dignitaries. The Times subtitled the article: "REAGAN IMPRESSES SOVIET ELITE." Two days later, another summit-related article in the New York Times attributed this quote about Reagan to Britain's Margaret Thatcher: "Poor dear, there's nothing between his ears." The article's headline: "THATCHER SALUTE TO REAGAN YEARS."
