There's "Fire Between Those Sheets"
Edited on Wed Jun-04-08 05:53 PM by David Zephyr
One thing for certain: Our presidential nominee and his first lady are one strikingly good-looking couple and it is apparent that these two are simply madly in love with each other. And that is a great thing for our country.

I'm a sucker for romance and when Barack and Michelle look at each other, you can simply sense the great love, respect and affection these two have for each other. They adore each other!

And just how long has it been for all of us to have seen a real romantic, lovestruck, mooney-eyed couple in our nation's first house? The answer to that question is: Too Long!

Consider this:

Most everyone knows that George Washington pretty much became one of the richest men in the colonies when he married his neighbor, Martha. But not many people know that their love life wasn't quite Fourth of July fireworks. Maybe it was Martha. Maybe it was George. Maybe it was his wooden teeth, but George Washington, the "father" of our country confided in a personal letter that "there isn't much fire between our sheets."

Maybe that's been part of the problem. Maybe if our latest George and Laura had made love, they wouldn't have made war.

But there's one thing I can swear to: Whenever you see Mr. and Mrs. Barack and Michell Obama together, one can tell immediately that, as the old pop song goes, "love is in the air."

Here's to love! Here's to America's next first family!

1. Good looking? Not IMO
Edited on Wed Jun-04-08 05:59 PM by itsrobert
but that's my opinion. Were you expecting everyone to agree with yours? And I really don't care about what they do between the sheets.

And if they are good looking in your opinion, who is not good looking? Bill and Hillary? Dubya and Laura? Ronnie and Nancy? They were Hollywood actors. The Carters? John and Jackie? Come'on?

2. I love the way they look at each other
They can be standing in front of 20,000 people, but when they look into each other's eyes, they're all alone. They aren't making a statement, they aren't playing politics, they aren't trying to manipulate the crowd ... it's just them. It's so sweet! :loveya:

4. It's real. My sister told me, "David, they are crazy about each other."
And it is "so sweet". I agree.

7. It's no marriage of convenience, that's for sure.
That's the big point. They love each other.
