1. It was pretty bad here in Anne Arundel County this afternoon |
|
We were at a movie and suddenly the power went out. It never did come back on where we were, but half the mall had power and the other half didn't. When we got home, the first thing we saw was the tree in front yard had fallen down. Luckily, it caused no damage to anything else and we were the lucky ones because all around our community trees have brought down power lines and have fallen into homes. Very wild weather.

definite rotation in the clouds. I didn't see a tornado from where I am, but the weather report indicated tornadoes on the ground 10 miles away.

9. The lightning is off the hook. Big cloud-to-ground strikes hanging out for up to 2 seconds. |

11. I think it's already passed us... |
|
But, there was definitely some shear in the cloud movement. We were all hunkering down in the basement.

The southern 2/3 of Iowa just got added to the mix again. I knew we had another flood warning, but they just kicked it up a notch. We seem to be in a perpetual flood warning..............with intermittent tornado's strangeness???....that's for sure!!
