11. Senate debates would get a LOT more quotable if he sent Coleman packing |
|
I'll bet C-Span is contributing the max to his campaign--viewership would double overnight if he were on the Senate floor every day!

24. I never cared much for Franken's humor, |
|
but he is one smart man and I sure wish him a successful campaign. We need intelligent people with integrity that care about others in Washington, he is all of that and will make a good Senator IMO.

28. To my way of thinking this one is well worthy of an Out Of State Donation |
|
We don't do it often, but in this case it is certainly well justified. It would please me very much for Al Franken to be able to serve in the Senate and if my few bucks can help that become so then I'll be happy to send it.

I'll always be grateful to him, Michael Moore, Tim Robbins -- all the people in the public eye who were the first ones to speak out when there was overwhelming pressure not to.

32. That is sooo cool. I remember when it was just a joke about him running.. |
|
on his Air America show. It was that show (I was listening from day one) that showed me that he was much more than a comedian. He had a solid political knowledge, knew what the people wanted and a passion for progressive causes.
I hope he buries Norm Coleman. What's the prognosis from Minnesota?

33. And of course, he IS the author of "Rush Limbaugh is a Big Fat Idiot" |
|
AND "Lies and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them"
Where he takes on the entire Faux Media and talking heads like O'Reilly, Coulter, etc.
I can't wait to hear Bill O'Reilly go completely apeshit over this - as well as Limbaugh. And Franken will take them apart. I hope he kept his research team together for his race.
I used to have to secret dream jobs:
1. I wanted to be the person who pushed pins into maps to indicate infectious disease outbreaks for the CDC, or
2. Work as a research assistant for Al Franken
