Americans fear their government, it's a shame
It's why the Anti-Obama crowd is so vocal. They are afraid.

The corporate controllers are very successful in pushing this message. So many policies are fear based; the military-police state industrial complex, resistance to social contract policies, disdain for basic human rights and the steady stream of fear mongering.

Americans resist the notion that their government works in their behalf and in that vacuum the rich and powerful hold sway.

This country needs a sea change in the halls of government to serve the needs of the people.

It's going to take the people to take the initiative to do this... and keep it changed so that government fears the people instead of vice-versa.

1. Count me in!
As long as this won't have a negative impact on my American Idol viewing!

5. Americans are beginning to realize that they are their own government.
The status quo is incredibly fearful of this. The last thing they want is citizen participation in their government.

6. I agree.
I am so sick of the Grover Norquist wet dream of shrinking and killing the government, all marketed and sold to the people who think this would be a good thing.

It's sad because WE the PEOPLE are the government, or should be. And will be, but we need to pay attention.

8. They fear their Government with good reason. Other than the
U.S.Coast Guard, I can't think of a single element of the Government that is trustworthy.

Most definitely not the President, Congress, Supreme Court, Homeland Security, Military or Justice Department.
