I saw my first real live "white power neo-nazi" at the convenience store today.
I guess I have lived a sheltered life but at 44 years old I saw my first, no doubt about it, neo-nazi white power dude. I noticed him right away because he was acting like a meth tweaker, making really jerky movements & not acting normal. When I see people like that I keep an eye on them because they are dangerous. I NEVER turn my back to them so I waited til he got into line before I did. I started "reading" his tattoos , Nazi swastika, "white power" ect... I felt sorry for him, imagine going through life with that attitude? Imagine trying to get a job with "white" on one set of knuckles & "power" one the other. Imagine trying to explain why you hate so much. He was heavily tattooed (which is a handicap in of itself) with racist messages. What a waste of a human being he was.

I generally don't go to places where there are apt to be people like this. It is amazing to me that I can't recall ever seeing one of these people before now. I think I will continue living right and avoiding places I might see more. The guy made me sort of sick to my stomach.

3. Don't know the song......
I had no "fear" of the guy so I wouldn't have to run. I just don't like having my back towards crazy/ intoxicated individuals as they are unpredictable.

16. No you don't - trust me.
Rhode Island is the worst run state in the Union - high taxes for lousy services run by a bunch of crooks.

23. I was just thinking of the 0 on the hate group map. South Dakota
has no hate groups either but despite its natural beauty it is too cold for me up there.

Lived in RI for 14 years. Left the year they were taking money out of my paycheck to bail out the credit unions when the administrator absconded with all the money. My state senator, house rep and city councilman were all under indictment for various reasons that year, too.

2. I agree with you about having some compassion for these people --
I can't imagine being so hate-filled and fear-filled. They must lead VERY sad, empty lives.

I still feel like kicking their heads in, though. Or dropping them off in the middle of a black, gangbanger neighborhood. Ashamed to admit it, but I do respond that way.

6. Beating them won't change their attitudes or beliefs.
I just can't imagine hating so much that you permanently mark your body with your hatred. I have my own hatred inside, I hate George Bush but I won't get a tattoo proclaiming it. Oh, I hate spiders too.....

18. Trying to beat one would only wind up with YOU getting killed... trust me..
If you're ever in East Tenn, you might catch a glimpse of this guy...

He's hard to miss at 6'9" tall and 375 lbs. Don't be scared, though. These days he answers to "Pastor Jim" and he travels to try to reach out to kids to keep them out of the lifestyle.

Look closely at the tattoo on his bicep... do you know what it signifies?

You can read more here: http://www.jimtullministry.com/testimony.html or see more photos here: http://www.jimtullministry.com/coppermine/thumbnails.php?album=7

I've been working on a new page today to add to the site. We're starting a food bank and a toys for tots campaign for East Tennessee residents who really need the help. We're coordinating with Family & Childrens Services and the Sheriff's Departments in several counties to help us help these families in need.

21. That's why I have one of these & a permit to carry one.

Sam Colt made all men (& women) equals. I am a peaceful mellow guy, I would feel more pity for that guy than anger. If he is a threat to my life I would not hesitate to end the threat.

26. I couldn't agree more.
I would hate to be in a position that lethal force is the only way out. However, if I am ever in a position where lethal force IS the only way out I will have a good tool to use. I am "that" type of guy. I ALWAYS have a pocket knife on me, always carry a multi-tool, I have two fire extinguishers in my vehicle & three in my home.

I am a firm believer in "Better to have it & not need it than to need it but not have it".

I'm former AB, also... we both work to keep kids out of the lifestyle now... he's one of the good guys now.

As for shooting him? Meh.. he's been shot 3 times, stabbed 17 times & been legally dead twice..

5. Lucky you. I have seen too many in my lifetime, having to live
next door to them and rub elbows with them at the store and other places. Fortunately, most people in places that tolerate them, don't go along with their philosophy and the law is usually on their heels because most of them are wanted for various crimes like breaking and entering, armed robbery and other ways that they fund themselves under the table.

8. I just don't see many here in Tennessee.
I am sure there are plenty of "Klan" members around here but they hide under sheets when they do whatever it is they do. It seems that neo-Nazis aren't prevalent here. I wonder if he was going to the "Bonnaroo" music thing they have this weekend. It was at a store next to the interstate a couple exits away from "Bonnaroo".

14. Two of those guys firebombed a Muslim Ctr down in Columbia, TN a few months back
Columbia is my home town and I can hardly believe they actually had a Muslim center down there.

BTW I'm in Lebanon, 40 miles out I-40 from Nashvegas

We ought to get to know other DUers in the area face to face

in case martial law changes everything. If you know what I mean.

17. I forgot about that incident.
I guess my lifestyle & places I go isn't the same as the Nazi's. BTW- I live in Wartrace, just about 9 miles east of Shelbyville. I know Lebanon well, I bought my Air conditioner from D.T. McCalls there! When I was looking for land the Carthege area was on the short list but I found a nice place down here.

11. When I first moved to NJ I saw a couple of them.
All dressed in their cammy pants, boots, white t's, short cropped hair and tats walking into a store that my fiance (wife now) and I were also walking into. They were staring at us for a while, (she's Filipino, I'm mixed Euro, both born here). I'm 6'2" 240 lbs so nothing happened, but they did whisper back and forth and look back at us a couple times because I kept them in front of us.

But that was like 15 years ago. Haven't seen another one since.

19. It's nice to not be intimidated.
Most everybody leaves me alone, I am 6'6" & weigh 250. It also helps that I am a mean ugly looking guy so many believe that I couldn't possibly be worried about a broken nose or some other disfigurement I might get in a fight. I also have a carry permit that I exercise regularly. It may not be very popular to do that among some D.U. er's but I believe in self defense. Haven't had to use the gun yet but the one time I do need it I am damn sure going to have it.
