You know, of course, that Dennis is speaking to an empty podium in an empty chamber ...... |
|
..... and that the crack(head) media will ignore it completely and everlastingly.
When you go to work tomorrow, try, if possible, to keep your mouth shut about just listen. I will bet damned near anything you will not hear the word 'impeachment'.

...the "acting speaker"?
Besides the clerks and staff and whatnot.

22. Nope. Just Dennis, the record button, and a mic. Also no one to vote to shut him up. |

The clerk and speaker will have to deal with it in the morning.

8. I've been saying since forever that the state of our media is the single biggest issue we face ..... |
|
..... bigger than **anything**.
Bigger than the war.
Bigger than the voting systems.
Bigger than anything Bush has done.
There is **no** single issue more critical to our survival than the restoration of an honest, concerned, impartial, watchdog media.

17. I am with you, have been since at least 2000 |
|
so tomorrow I will call and have the one sided discussion with the staffer of my DINO bluedog critter and kindly remind her why I will NOT vote for her.
Hey, we have been in that routine for seven months now
I voted for the challenger in the primary and sadly it was about 10% against her, so every time I hear the people moan... you had a chance...
(Oh and I know that my vote for a green will be a protest vote, her seat is so secure I am hoping she makes it by only 60% instead of her usual 80%)

33. You are absolutely right about that. |
|
I agree with every word you said. It can't be emphasized enough.
I can't say it any better, so allow me to quote:
"There is **no** single issue more critical to our survival than the restoration of an honest, concerned, impartial, watchdog media."
I really can't think of a single thing to say that is more important than that. I don't think there IS anything more important than that.

|
And because people are really angry at Bush & republicon cronies now for gas and food prices, and the collapsing economy, this will have some legs...
The blogosphere will rage...people will find out.

|
Outside the news services that is.
That should tell you how many people will actually know that this was introduced.
ALL media channels should have broken programing with BREAKING News
Will give it to Goldwater, mission accomplished

You should have seen B-1 Bob Dornan back in the old days. Railing to an empty chamber but it all goes in the Record.
This will be there for historians of the future. This is the stuff of Bush's legacy forever. And of this Congress, I might add.

And that's FOREVER.
It's not a story that can be "spiked" or a soundbite that can be quickly forgotten.
This is now a part of the history of the U.S.

When Senator Gravel read the Pentagon Papers into the Congressional Record, the chamber was virtually empty. It was also late at night.
Whatever one thinks of Gravel now, we owe him a debt of gratitude for that service.
And we owe Mr. Kucinich a debt of gratitude tonight.
