Before I supported Obama, I supported John Edwards. Before that,
I supported Dennis Kucinich, the patriot who is now making the rock solid case against the Criminal in charge.

And I know I am far from alone here in wondering "what if?", even as I look forward to the election and inauguration of President Obama.

1. What if Obama chooses him as his VP?
I think it's the ticket this country needs and will overwhelmingly vote for. McCain couldn't beat them.

7. That works for me, too

Face it, Democrats are in a win-win-win-win-win situation this year when it comes to the pool of talented candidates for VP or cabinet positions.

14. honestly, I think we'd lose 45 states.
If kucinich can't get above 2% among democrats, what would he possibly bring to the Obama ticket?

4. chairperson of the new department of peace
although I think completely dissolving the department of defense and replacing with a department of peace seems a little too Orwellian for my tastes, I hope Obama does form a new department designed to maintain world peace through non-violent tactics, and lets Kucinich chair it.

9. I don't find that Orwellian at all

As much as many feel we need someone with stars and bars to "balance" the ticket, I would much rather have someone who is willing and able to use diplomacy before force when called for.

10. during a democratic administration, it wouldn't be
but I can see the next republicans to take office corrupting the department unless protections on the overall mission are put in place.

13. You know what Dennis would be really good at?
If the Bush administrations proven anything it's that we should have a larger and more aggressive independent government oversight body, like an investigative arm of the GAO, for hunting down fraud, waste, theft, and abuse in the federal government and the military. Dennis could run it.
