If Jim Webb gets the VP nod, ironically, we can thank the utterance of one word:
"Macaca"

Had Senator George Allen not used that word on the campaign trail when he was running for re-election against Jim Webb, Allen may very well have been re-elected--meaning no "Senator Webb."

Word was, at the time, that Senator Allen would have been a front-runner for the 2008 Republican Nomination for President of the United States.

The power of that one word, uttered in a little known state park on the border of Virginia and Kentucky, caught on videotape may have actually saved us from a "President Allen," and at the same time given us "Vice-President Webb."

Thus, we have another illustration of the truthfulness of the old adage: "Be careful what you say." Amazing how one word has already changed the landscape of this year's presidential race. And, it still yet might change it, again.

1. And McCain has a massive YouTube problem, too.

3. I hope he does get the nod. Or Mark Warner.
Mark Warner was an outstanding governor. Turned the state completely around fiscally.

5. Yes. In fact, I am hoping to host a meet and greet in the Fall.
Still working out the logistics, but it looks like it'll be a go.

6. Good. I used to live on the Chesapeake Bay of VA,
and before that in a little town in Southwest VA. We need to take back that state for the Dems all the way around. Republicans don't govern very well.

7. What most people miss is that even with "Macaca", Webb barely won
A 9,000 vote margin when your opponent was supposedly crippled by his remark is not impressive.

Webb would not be a help on the VP slot as he barely won his own election. There are a lot more people in Virginia who will still vote against Obama for whatever reason than who will come on board because of Webb being on the ticket.

Webb as VP is a losing proposition.
