Practically & realistically speaking, how much worse could bush have done |
|
Edited on Thu Jun-12-08 12:34 AM by The_Casual_Observer
at this point? Two god damn wars drag on, stocks are tanking, gas at all time high & going ever higher, unemployment jumped by 1/2 point in one month. Prospects bleaker by the day. If you didn't see this coming in 2001 you didn't know or care to know anything about the idiotic bush family.

6. Thus the "practical" caveat. Nothing short of nuclear war could be this bad. |

Bush could launch at any time he liked, as could any President. I could be wrong.

Because all Bush learned from the last one is that FEMA shouldn't supply ice any more.

12. He could've used nuclear-tipped bunker busters on Iran by now, killing untold civilians. |
|
Of course, that would spark off a region-wide conflict between Iran and the US with economic, military, and diplomatic repercussions the US would be ill-equipped to deal with. The US would be driven into bankruptcy and be little better off than Russia today.

17. He Could Have Done a Robert Mugabe |
|
although Mugabe did have 28 years and unlimited power.
Bush could have followed the plan Wes Clark leaked of invading seven countries in five years. (Although maybe not with the Pentagon dragging its heels.)
One saving grace of Bush is that beyond tax cuts, Iraq, and the whole security issue, he hasn't been able to do anything really radical. That mandate he tried to pretend he had never existed outside defense and foreign policy.
