'Carbon Belch Day' Promotes Un-Green Actions
Smoke cigars, do a partial load of laundry, drink bottled water and feel no shame. That's what a campaign against a carbon trading bill is urging.

The latest parody of the proliferation of "green" social-networking sites and eco-friendly events comes via "Carbon Belch Day," a campaign from the conservative Grassfire.org alliance that encourages people to pollute as much as possible on June 12.

So far, more than 140,000 people have signed a petition against "climate alarmism," according to Ron De Jong, spokesman for Grassfire.org. If the effort attracts half a million people, it would lead to the release of 105 million pounds of carbon, according to Grassfire.org.

1. Thanks, assholes.
You'll be fighting for the same resources in time.

3. I know a couple who
couldn't do any more damage on purpose. I don't think they're bright enough, or have enough hours in the day. It would be fine with me if they took their Dodge King Cab in the garage, deposited their brainless selves on the front seat, and let it run until it ran out of gas, all the while reminding themselves of the day they yelled in my face that, "georgie is the best president we've ever had, and if you don't like it, why don't you go live somewhere else".

6. Sometimes I make progress on not hating the species
Then I am reminded that yes, people do actually want to destroy the future of the entire planet.

7. May all the signers die of painful brain hemorrhages.
Yeah, I said it. It would reduce the carbon footprint a million-fold.

8. OK I fully understand
not taking active steps to conserve resources. That is fine. I do not understand consumption for consumptions sake. That is just being an asshole.

Even if you don't believe in man-made global warming, conservation should still be an attractive option because it is cheaper. You know, conserve.

10. Of course. It's a means by which assholes can bond with fellow assholes.
As a bonus, they can feel all persecuted by those evil "eco-terrorists" who hound them and tell them to recycle and stop driving dickish vehicles.
