I loves me some John Turley.
He made the above quote on Countdown just now. He also did a good job (IMHO) of articulating the value of preserving the rights of people we don't like: "It doesn't change who we are, or how we try them." Totally agree. Giving criminals (of any kind) rights---to a trial, to representation, to see the evidence against them, to name a few---demonstrates the reasons for the moral authority of a society and a state, not a weakness!
