Tim Russert?

No, the thousands of men and women who have died in Bush's failed war that Tim Russert was an enabler for.

1. You do know that Tim Russert worked for Senator Moynhian
Edited on Sun Jun-15-08 05:05 PM by RMP2008
A FUCKING DEMOCRAT DON'T YOU??? SO WHAT THE FUCK WOULD THAT MAKE RUSSERT????????

I am beyond disgusted by the hideous comments on DU about the death of a loving family man, top journalist in D.C., and someone that Keith Olbermann who we all love and respect, was choken up over.

7. You know that he voted for GW Bush, don't you? So what does that make Russert?
Russert "evolved" into a Republican enabler. And that disgusts me greatly. I couldn't care less who got choked up over his death. I won't miss Russert's influence.

10. Do you have a link for him voting for GWB?
I didn't realize that but I still won't celebrate his death even though it would make me think a lot less of him than I do right now.

12. Here is the story
"Russert’s role in the 2000 election"

"At one point in the evening, Gore explains, Russert approached the candidates. As Gore was closest to him, Russert respectfully shook his hand and then moved on to Bush. Thinking that Gore had turned away, Russert shook Bush’s hand and, mischievously, turned over his jacket lapel to reveal a Bush campaign pin hidden under the fold."

Another thing of little substance.

This is right up there with "Integrity is for paupers!"

Sure. He was serious when he said that. :eyes:

You guys have gotta come up with something better than this.

17. Denigrating Al Gore's assertion that I posted doesn't give you credibility
It appears that you didn't follow the links and read the articles.

9. A DINO?

But it's not about political party. It's about being a mouth-piece cheerleader of an illegal war. That simple. He wasn't an excellent journalist. Like many presumed to be employed as journalist, he was simply a war enabler.

Does being a Democrat exempt one from blame for starting or enabling imperialistic power grabs?

5. Tim Russert doesn't deserve ALL the blame for not asking hard questions prior to the invasion, but..
I would say that as a prominent fixture in the news media, he can't escape all the blame either. With over 4000 Americans dead and countless Iraqis, a lot of people are in mourning not for Russert but for their own losses.
