We watched the original marriage in city hall in 2004, and we both cried a bit. I thought about going over there and volunteering to cry at the weddings. Everyone needs someone to cry at their wedding.

They're covering it in detail. The tone is celebratory (is that a word?). So wonderfully positive.

They just had Gavin Newsome on saying we have GWB to thank for this because his SOTU in 2004 convinced Newsome he had to do something. I'm not Newsome's biggest fan, but I sure thank him for this!
