Santa Barbara is a really beautiful city.





Lovely.

It has a nice beach. ABut when you stand on that beach and gaze seaward, you can see ....... this:



Miami beach is also a special place.

1. Hubby is an SB native

We lived there for 10 years, and not only did we have to look at the oil rigs, we paid the highest prices in SoCal for gas at the same time.

When my son was growing up, he told me he thought they were pirate ships, sailing along the coast from Ventura to Santa Barbara. Appropriate, eh?

Now I'm in Florida, and it is nice not to see them!

So double fuck you, John McCain.

It's beautiful and I love visiting although I did not enjoy living there. Also, the beaches are not impressive. The oil rigs are unattractive and the tar that sometimes gets stuck to the bottoms of your feet is off-putting.
