Poll question: If MSNBC had stopped talking about Tim Russert by now would DU condemn them as heartless? |
|

12. And others until they see his corpse tried for war crimes. |

I guess I'd rather side with the former type than the latter.

9. "some DUers"... is that like Fox's unbiquitous "some people say"? |
|
I mean, DU is a large, diverse group of people. Depending on how small the "some" is, it is a statistical certainty that you could name almost any behavor, and "some" DUers are liekly to embrace it.
statistics, you see.
In either case, this is a poll, transparently and not very well designed to "educate" by giving all of us poor, deluded DUers a forehead-slapping moment, "My God, we ARE awful. We would have criticized MCNBC for giving Russert something less than the treatment gotten by Nixon, Reagan, and Ford!"
If you wanted to give us a forehead-slapping moment of revelation, Bryant, you'd better set the intelligence-level of your push-poll a little higher.
I voted: This Poll is stupid. And yes, bryant, among the ten thousand or so active DUers, it is a statistical certainty that some would react just the way that you suggest.
So? Many, if not a majority of DUers, are far more self-aware than the juvenile "sixth-grade irony" and seventh-grade self-awareness that your poll tries to invoke.
Very unsuccessfully. VERY unsuccessfully.

That's the single best description of this poll.
I, too, voted "stupid".

But if I identified the sort of people who would attack MSNBC either way by name, the Poll would be deleted immediately as being a personal attack. So I am stuck with some DUers.

In my more cynical moments, I refer not to "right-wing" or "left-wing", but "right-whinge" and "left-whinge".
