XM 167 renamed America Left, starting July 14th
http://www.xmradio.com/onxm/channelpage.xmc?ch=167

Air America - XM 167 becomes America Left

Beginning July 14, XM 167 becomes America Left, powered by Air America Radio. You'll hear some of the familiar voices including Bill Press, Ed Schultz, Randi Rhodes, Thom Hartmann and Mike Malloy. Plus, XM welcomes Stephanie Miller and the return of the Young Turks to the home of America Left, XM 167. Beginning July 14 catch the new America Left, powered by Air America Radio - XM 167.

Sounds like Stephanie Miller is replacing Lionel from 9 AM-noon Eastern; no idea when The Young Turks will air. XM 167 has been gradually phasing out Air America programming in the last year, in favor of Jones and Nova M programming.

Hopefully they'll find some way to air all 3 hours of Mike Malloy's show, instead of the 2 hours they air now (since they're currently fitting in Rachel Maddow, Thom Hartmann, and Mike Malloy into a 6 hour period).

1. Good. I'm especially glad to hear Lionel is being replaced.
He sucks out loud. He sucks hard enough to bend light.

8. YES,,, Thank you God and XM for getting rid of Lionel
God, what a waste of air time....I'm fairly agnostic on Schultz, Press is such a panty-waste he pisses me off, but over all, it looks good. I wish I had Hartman in real time, but I can deal, I guess. Welcome back to the YTurks.... I was hot and cold on the oft sexist Cenk when AAR carried it, but in retrospect, TYT is so much better than so much crap that has replace it on AAR, I am thrilled to welcome them back. I just wish Sam Seder (and Mark Maron) had a slot.

4. 167 is really not AAR anymore. Ed Schultz and Randi are not AAR
So if they add Stephanie Miller in Lionel's place...there will be a great day of listening.

But Randi is Nova, just back on 167 XM. Schultz is Jones Radio, I think, or was. Just carried by 167 XM.

7. Rachel is on 167 from 6 to 8, right after Randi.

It's a good line-up, but not all AAR.

9. I hope XM Left is better than Sirius Left -Besides Malloy, there's nothing else worth listening to
Edited on Wed Jun-18-08 10:37 PM by LaPera
(live) except one hour of Thom Hartmann....I do enjoy the guy, what's his name, fills in for Ed Schultz - Norman Goldman?

Sirius Left leaves much to be desired...they are obviously not a progressive corporation and it shows, with second rate & taped liberal programing!!
