Talking head Matt Lauer "Today" just said it "Obama, I'm sorry, I mean Osama...." |
|
MSM is insidious in its bias.

3. Matt probably has heard it intentionally misused by other guests, |
|
that it became ingrained.

He kind of sits on the fence and if anyone who can still be setting on the fence when it comes to these war criminals and traitors cannot be truly unbiased. imo

:sarcasm: but we should start tracking these little "accidents" now, I bet we reach a hundred before the election.

15. Kennedy tape is from January 2005 |
|
Obama was just elected to the Senate and his name was still unfamiliar to many.
Matt Lauer has no excuse.

20. He gave the Keynote speech at the 2004 Democratic Convention |
|
How could his name be unfamiliar to Ted Kennedy for crying out loud!?!?!?
The point is, people stumble over words. They make mistakes. Not everything is a conspiracy.

themselves as manipulators way to often. I don't trust them all that much. So yes, I think he did it on purpose.

18. It happens too frequently to be accidentally, imo. |
|
I've never accidentally mixed up the names. I've never heard anyone but a talking head on TV mix up the names. They do it all the time. Once or twice I could forgive, but this is constant.
Yes, they're doing it on purpose.

2. In Lauer's defense, it's not like Osama's name comes up much anymore. |
|
He may just be out of practice. When these guys make the mistake the other way around I'm a little more suspicious.

9. I've never made that "mistake" once and I always refer to him as Obama not Barack. |
|
But I guess that's only because I can differentiate the letter S from the Letter B.

|
It's all bullshit. Matt Lauer needs to fuck the fuck off.
Some day we can all play "Where in the world is Matt Lauer" until someone finally guesses "The wrong side of a woodchipper".

13. i have seen this a couple times. i think twice i have slipped, appropriately corrected immediately |
|
my intent was not to slight obama. i know that fox and repugs have done intentionally.
i think we are clever enough to see a slip from intentionally and we do not to be outraged when outrage is not warranted.

These "slips" are going to be more and more common... and Lauer has never been our friend.

Just as it was only a mistake when someone over-wrote the 'b' in my Obama sticker with an 's' with a red felt tipped marker.

21. I hate Matt, but that could be an innocent mistake. |
|
I make the mistake with Iraq and Iran all the time, especially when talking about them in the same conversation.
I don't think the similarity of the names is going to end up being all that important to the electorate, whether they try to confuse them deliberately or not.
