5. Which we have already: The Corporate Party |
|
Most real democratic countries do well with a multi-party legislature.

Under a Two Party system, there is absolutely no impetus to be any good; all you need is the perception of being less evil (which is a pretty low bar for the Democrats.)
A genuine multi-party system would be better able to express the views of a vast, multi-cultural population.

4. I always am willing to sign petitions to get other parties on the ballot-in fact |
|
just added my John Hancock for Bob Barr.
We need more options and more options would lead the parties to better represent the people over special interest.

6. But not voting for Corporate Candidate A is like voting for Corporate Candidate B!!! |
|
If it helps cloud your mind, I'm going to say "abortion!" three times and hope that's enough for you to put aside all of your beliefs and unthinkingly support Corporate Candidate A!

10. except when candidate A is to the right of the majority of SCOTUS justices |
|
in saying that mental health is NOT a reason for a woman to have an abortion. That pretty much clinches it as a one-party rule for me with very little incentive to participate.

7. A two-party system? Dare to dream. We are a SINGLE party system now |
|
with plenty of red meat to throw to the voters to act like we are actually electing something different than we had before. It's all smoke and mirrors anymore.

14. It would be nice to have something other than the "bad" party vs the "not as bad" party. |
|
As it is, the system makes for severe damage to the olfactory organ and a "choice" between a large, or small, dose arsenic.
Or, not playing in a fixed game.
