'Twas the night before Fitzmas,
And all through the House,
Not a creature was stirring,
Not even a mouse.



The indictments were hung by the chimney with care,
In hope that some pardon would magically appear.



The crooks were all nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of catastrophe danced in their heads.



And Lynn in her kerchief, and I with my clot,
Had just started loading our guns with bird shot.



When from the North Portico there arose such a clatter,
I put down my gun and asked Lynn what was the matter.



Away to the window, Lynn got on the phone,
While I was leaving to a location not yet known.



The moonlight upon my now exposed skin,
Opened the door for Grand Juries to begin.



When what to my beady eyes should see,
But Patrick Fitzgerald on an indictment spree!



"Libby was the start" he was with a snarl,
"I have a gift for you, for both you and Karl".



He signaled then shouted and sounded his horn,
And a Grand Jury appeared, all ready to be sworn!



"Now Powell! Now Condi! Now Card and McClellan!"
"On Fleischer! On Ralston! On Rove and Matalin!".



"You're all going to pay for what you have done",
"Nothing will stop me, not even your gun".



Packed to the brim with indictments nicely stacked.
All inside that giant red puffy sack!



He looked at my face and gave me a smile,
As his hand reached in and pulled out a pile.



"Justice will be served, you're finished and done",
"You will never again have the opportunity to run".



I tried to run away, as fast as I could,
But there was 'Ol Fitz, in my way he stood.



As I passed out I heard Fitz proclaim,
"Merry Fitzmas to All! And to you Cheney, the same!"
