I love the "big eventness" of Skinner's grand pronouncements and Tahitinut's sharp, acerbic brilliance and the warm patient tone of Straight Story's posts and I totally respect babylonsister and kpete's relentless mission to populate DU's threads with all political information ever generated and I think the Magistrate utterly ROCKS and wish I could talk like him in real life and I love Swamp Rat's photoshopping (which is eerie, I'm not sure I've ever seen 2 the same and they just turn up on cue all the time and are always pertinent, he must have MILLIONS of the things) and I totally dig Philosoraptor's totally UNFLINCHING ability to stare down the abyss of current reality directly in the face and tell it exactly how it is and I love Bluebear (who should be called Cluebear) and meegbear and pepperbear and Pelosifan and dsc and lionesspriyanka and all the other guys on the GLBT forum, particularly undergroundpanther who is a unique and amazing person and I really like muriel_volestrangler because she (I think she's a she) knows EVERYTHING IN THE WORLD and brigit's so cool ( HI BRIGIT ) and Muserider is a truly clear-headed and serene person with strong principles softly stated and I love Californiapeggy just for being her and I like cali just for being HER and I like redqueen just for being HER and I like lonestarnot's instincts and I miss Mrs Grumpy and I miss BuffyTheFundieSlayer and I miss Writersblock and I haven't seen Heidi for ages and I haven't seen Yael in ages and I owe Leopolds Ghost a favour and I owe Blue_in_AK a favour and I just wish that I'd met everybody in person.

None of these things describe the all-or-nothing left that has decided to spout its nonsense at DU since their candidates failed to win the Primary.

DU's the third window I open on my browser. Gmail, BBC News, then DU. Every morning, without fail, before I open any work-related windows or apps. And Gmail and DU are the only ones that stay open and get looked at throughout the day.
