Anyone But Me Have Problems With Huffington Post?

I don't know what it is about that site but it seems to be getiing worse.

Pages and links take forever to load. Sometimes my system will lock up and I have to reboot.

I dunno - I think it's all the flashy ads and crap that try to load.

I don't have problems anywhere else.

1. Yes... and really bad on TalkingPointMemo & AmericaBlog

Especially bad using Firefox but MIE does it as well... I've tried allowing pop ups versus blocking, allowing banner ads versus blocking-- doesn't seem to matter. I have a slower wireless connection than many, I'm sure, but still, it seems recent...

2. My connection is fine.

Actually it's pretty fast.

But someting on HuffPo really can mess with it.

had to give up on those sites.
Huffington loads very slowly and often I go through periods where MIE has to shut down.

4. I rarely have problems at home with HuffPo but it's not

uncommon to have problems on my work computer. I don't like the way HuffPo refreshes. I think it's their style sheets that....suck? That constant refreshing is quite irritating......

Edited to add: I use IE6 at work and FireFox 3 at home. I have less trouble at home. Actually, I have almost no trouble at home but it sucks at work with IE6.

5. Use an ad blocker

Once I eliminated Google ads from popping up, everything works much better.
