I just walked in to the General Session, and Al Gore is here! He's speaking now and has had several standing ovations since I've been here.

7. Gore is very open to talking to people afterwards

He'll pose for photos, shake hands and actually answer questions and discuss stuff with people. Try to talk to him, but if there's a line of people don't get at the beginning of the line because everyone will try to surge around him. Get towards the last half of the line and be sure to tell him we on DU are great admirers of his work. Put in a plug, because I'm sure he knows all about us.

I've been watching...President Gore walking on-stage was quite a bonus and both of them have addressed a wide range of issues. It sure broke the tension in the room.

Hopefully C-SPAN will air this later...it's definitely worth watching.
