Voter Fraud... It's that time again...
Republicans are banging that old drum again..Poor Lou Dobbs.. The man lays awake nights worrying about all those Ileeeeeeeeegals lining up to vote.. A graphic on his "show" even poses the thought.."Election to be decided by Illegals"?

Apparently Arizona requires proof of citizenship to vote, and Lou's trying to convince all the other states to do the same..

I know there are always a few people here and there, who cannot "prove" it, but probably most of us could easily do it..

How much does a high school yearbook cost these days?? A video game? Cell phone service? A couple of tanks of gas?

What if part of the graduation rigamarole included voter registration & a passport ? What a nice graduation gift that would be for a high school senior..Maybe Mom & Dad & Granny & Auntie & Uncle could go in together and get that graduating senior their first passport...

It would make that trip to mexico easier too..and it would set that young one up with the best ID a person could have..Our son just got his renewal (gotta have it up to date for World Cup....)
Armed with that passport and voter registration , I'd like to see anyone try to prohibit that young person from voting..

Sooner or later, with all/most 18 yr olds getting passports, the ID issue would fade away..

1. Only about 100,000 go to Mexico for spring break - Passport fee is $100
Why would all/most 18 year olds get a passport?

Between 7 and 25% of citizens have passports.

3. Why are Americans afraid to have proof-positive of citizenship?
Are we that self-loathing?.. :(

I got my first passport when I was born , and no stormtroopers have ever showed up at my door, asking to see my papers:)... not for the first 59 years , at least :P

4. Why should Americans be required to have a passport?
Unless one travels it is not a necessity.
