Maybe some one here could explain Nuclear power to me (In simple terms please.) McCain was totting about it today and I don't know enough about it. I feel that I don't want a nuclear plant in my backyard am I wrong? I just want to know basics been doing some research but what are the pros and cons.

Pro, once built and fueled, it works for up to 30 years and is virtually pollution free. Con, we don't have anywhere to put the still radioactive shit for the 25,000 years it takes for it to wind down. One other small thing is the 8-12 billion initial cost.
