That essentially seems to be the claim of McCain. Regardless of the outcome, and regardless or the Iraqi government's own requests, a withdrawl will be considered a loss.

When we leave, will the Republicans go public claiming we've lost the war?

3. I just find it hard to believe that they would actually go on record saying that.
I would think it would be political suicide.

9. We should PUSH BACK and say that if it weren't for the Republikkkans
Edited on Wed Jul-23-08 08:28 PM by DinahMoeHum
we would never have gone into Iraq to begin with.

The fact is, the Republikkkans lost this occupation BEFORE it even started, and THEY lost it starting from when they even considered the notion of going into Iraq.

They should have realized from the start that the Iraqis would not consider them to be liberators.

So, anything they have to say about it now or then ain't worth shit.

Fuck 'em all.

12. It doesn't matter what happens - they'll say we lost the war
because for some inexplicable reason they always get to define the meaning of "lose", "win","victory","defeat" and wll permutations of that concept. As if it is our ever was ours to "win" or "lose" anyway. The whole goddam thing is a loss.! One great big frickin loss ov lives, money, energy, an d potential. What a waste

please excuse the imevitable typos as my left eye is still pretty messed up.
