TSA needs to be among the first of many useless alphabet-named agencies
disbanded.

TSA has been horrible since 9/11, and we're paying $5 per ticket just to keep them employed and happy? Fuck that.

said that the loss of American jobs-You know the high paying tech. jobs etc. would be replaced by other jobs. Sure enough, we now have TSA jobs, Homeland security, Blackwater, telecommunication spying, local spies, etc.... Who would of thought?

worse than useless, I fly all the time and they are wasteful pain in the ass...wouldn't know a terrorist if they one...but by God, if you have a vial of shampoo in your carry on-they're right on it!!! Lame Fuckers!!!

3. Disney should run airport security
Edited on Thu Jul-24-08 12:26 AM by SmileyRose
Without anyone in the crowd even knowing they were being searched, Disney would know your weight, shoe size and how many condoms are in your carry on, and the info would never get past the "cast member". Any actual criminal would be wisked away so quietly no one would even notice.

Disney is the absolute master of crowd control and planning. I didn't realize how much so until I recently graced a local theme park with my presence. I lasted about 1 hour and got so disgusted with the rudeness of the crowd I left.

Edit to add that I think the whole shmeal at the airport is idiotic but obviously the public wants someone to "keep them safe" (from what I haven't figured out since I've never known anyone to hijack a plane with eyeliner).

4. TSA employees became federal employees
after 9-11. Before that they worked for private contractors.

7. I agree. Our tax money is paying
for a bunch of thugs to harass us and then lie to us and say it's all to make us more secure. x(

We all know it's just bureaucratic conditioning to get us used to submitting to arbitrary and invasive authority. The TSA definitely needs to go.

12. Because one mental defective got past them, hundreds of millions of people
have to take off their 'shoes' shoes is in quotes because even people wearing flip-flops, shower shoes have to take them off and run them through the scanner.

13. Think Bigger..."Homeland Security"
I've always hated that name...a name wrapped in a brown-shirt...and one "agency" that needs to go and the agencies under its blanket (TSA being one...FEMA for another) get back their independence.

As a former regular traveler, I can't agree more on taking down TSA and it's draconian "no fly list"...but they do have a service, just not being done the right way. It's time to realize no one has come up with a Maxwell Smart shoe bomb or that my wife's water bottle contains something other than tap water. I think security on a flight is a necessary evil, but the current dog and pony show that does little other than embarass people.
