Protester assaulted across the street from McCain rally location

ROCHESTER — Someone assaulted a protester standing across the street from the Rochester Opera House where Republican presidential candidate John McCain was expected to speak today at noon.

Police broke up the scuffle at around 9:50 a.m. Andy Kaplan of Portsmouth was assaulted. Police were still working on their report just past 10 a.m. and did not have the name of the suspect.

1. I have a hunch the name of the suspect who assaulted this person will never be found.
I don't know. Maybe I'm just cynical.
