Finding out about a "Boil Water Advisory" two days late..

I don't watch local news. Has this ever happened to anyone else? I'm worried I may have consumed E-Coli. :puke:

1. Most e coli is not dangerous
and our guts are full of it. We'd die without it.

Just consider that you've dodged a bullet and start boiling your drinking and tooth brushing water now.

E coli isn't the worst of what's in contaminated drinking water, BTW. If you're not chained to the porcelain throne by now, though, you probably haven't been infected with it.

Good luck.

2. it was on the air and in the papers...
i doubt there is a problem though...just a power outage a local water plant and a short term loss of pressure...i am sure you are ok.

5. it's not the e-coli, it's the Giardia you need to watch for
and to really make your day, here's a list of all the water borne illnesses

6. Happened to me just a few days ago. I was using the water
all along for coffee, washing hands, etc. Phone rings: "Hey, did you know that the city is telling people to boil their water before using it?" ... Me: "Uh, no." ... "You better check it out."

Sure enough, I'd been using water for 12 hours into the boil warning without boiling it.

Needless to say, it's freaking me out.
