For those not familiar with Buchanan, he is the Republican that "won" the House of Representatives 13th district seat (FL) in 2006 by less than 400 votes in a hotly contested election -- ie 18,000 ballots suspiciously had blanks for the Buchanan/Jennings race (undervoting) although the voters marked every other race on the ballot. The elections supervisor, also Republican, claimed no vote fraud but ballots were electronic with no paper trail. Many Democrats came forward after the election to claim their votes "disappeared" before their eyes when they were voting but election workers said there was nothing they could do about it.
Buchanan was on very friendly terms with George W. Bush. VP Cheney and Barbara Bush both showed up to campaign for him before the election. Now 2 former employees of Buchanan are claiming election fraud by Buchanan, according to an article in today's Sarasota Herald Tribune.
