House of Representative 13th District - Buchanan accused of election fraud by former employees
For those not familiar with Buchanan, he is the Republican that "won" the House of Representatives 13th district seat (FL) in 2006 by less than 400 votes in a hotly contested election -- ie 18,000 ballots suspiciously had blanks for the Buchanan/Jennings race (undervoting) although the voters marked every other race on the ballot. The elections supervisor, also Republican, claimed no vote fraud but ballots were electronic with no paper trail. Many Democrats came forward after the election to claim their votes "disappeared" before their eyes when they were voting but election workers said there was nothing they could do about it.

Buchanan was on very friendly terms with George W. Bush. VP Cheney and Barbara Bush both showed up to campaign for him before the election. Now 2 former employees of Buchanan are claiming election fraud by Buchanan, according to an article in today's Sarasota Herald Tribune.

Buchanan workers tell of donation pressure
Ex-employees claim that Vern Buchanan's campaign broke laws
By Jeremy Wallace
H-T POLITICAL WRITER

Two former executives for U.S. Rep. Vern Buchanan's auto dealerships said they were pressured to donate to Buchanan's 2006 congressional campaign and were offered cash and gifts as inducements, which would violate federal campaign laws.

2. And I hope with all my heart they can establish a trail back to Katherine Harris.

I love it. The rethuglican dominoes are starting to fall. They will have to build
a whole new prison just to house all those corrupt rethuglican lawbreakers.

Damn, I'm starting to feel good again. It's been a long eight years.

3. There's a whole pile of them already built
courtesy of quietly-let no-bid contracts to none other than Halliburton (like these) ostensibly to hold dissidents and undocumented workers that the previous "scares" were supposed to whip up the masses to start the pogroms against. That didn't materialize quite the way the rethugs hoped it would, so there are lots and lots and lots of rooms available.

It would be such divine justice. Karma was a way of being a real mofo to mofos.
