Kiwis offer $5000 reward for successful citizen's arrest of Condi on NZ visit
Reward offered for citizen's arrest of Rice
8:25PM Thursday July 24, 2008

A $5000 reward is being offered to any Auckland University student who can make a successful citizen's arrest of United States Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice during her visit to the country this weekend.

Auckland University Student Association (AUSA) president David Do said the arrest would be for her role in "overseeing the illegal invasion and continued occupation" of Iraq.

"It is hard enough living as a student in Auckland these days without having a war criminal coming to town, so we thought we'd give our students a chance to make a dent in their student loans and work for global justice at the same time."

12. Yeah, that was my first thought too.
Kind of hard for individuals to arrest someone with a couple dozen bodyguards.

8. I think the operative phrase is "Successful citizen's arrest"
What's defines a success? Getting the police to take Condi in custody? Not likely.

More than likely the person who tries will be the one successfully arrested.

9. Shit, I'll kick in a hundred bucks.
If citizens of the World came together to sweeten the pot, a sizeable International bounty ($Millions) could be put on the heads of the Bush Criminals.

13. Good Way to Get Hurt
The follow up headline to this story is

"Man in New Zealand tries to arrest Condi, shot seven times by security"

I'm not saying that most of the Bush regime doesn't deserve to be tried for war crimes but suggesting that people in other nations snatch up our politicians is a bad idea, IMO.
