Health care is really getting bad. |
|
My wife went to visit her mother today.
Her mother was telling her about distant cousins, The older woman had fallen a broken a few ribs. So she was down at a hospital in Pittsburgh --won't name the hospital--and was getting release. As they are getting ready to go the nurse turns to the woman's daughter (who is also a nurse) and tells the woman that her mother's Hip is broken.
They treated the ribs and not the hip.
What type of care do we have in his country...and yes it probably was Medicare.

2. Sometimes non displaced fractures aren't picked up |
|
because the person has pain but normal range of motion and is able to bear weight.
Sometimes when they don't complain of pain, it gets missed completely.

3. How did the nurse make the diagnosis? |
|
If no one caught it prior to that time, it sounds to me like that nurse is pretty darned sharp.
