W.Va. legislature votes to allow casino table games

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- The House and Senate gave final approval today to legislation that would allow West Virginia's four racetracks to pursue blackjack, roulette and similar casino table games. Gov. Joe Manchin said he expects to sign the bill.

Clearing a last-minute impasse that emerged the previous day, each chamber voted to approve the bill that permits local elections in each of the four track counties on whether to authorize the games.

Mr. Manchin told The Associated Press he will sign the bill, barring any technical or legal flaws.

on edit, the max bet at those casinos is presently $5, so I think they'll have to raise that limit.
