Hey Republicans (And Joe Lieberman)! Just a little reminder about the "surge"...
The "surge" won't catch Osama bin Laden.
The "surge" won't end our deficit.
The "surge" won't bring gas prices down.
The "surge" won't bring accountability to our government.
The "surge" won't mean that the invasion of Iraq was justified, we can't 'win' until we find those weapons of mass destruction.

While Republicans blast Democrats for investigating Bush "instead of solving our energy problems," they want to put out a resolution saying the "surge" was a success.

1. Adding the parenthetical "and Joe Lieberman" was redundant.

The nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office (CBO) has estimated the cost of "prosecuting" a war against Iraq at up to $9 billion per month, on top of an initial outlay of up to $13 billion for the deployment of troops to the Persian Gulf region.
