Predict the Fed - rate announcement at 11:15 Pacific Time
I think they'll stay at 2%, and repeat their worries about inflation, also paying some lip service to stagnation of growth.

2. Less than 1 chance in 10 they'll increase rates to 2.25% before October. I'm betting on no change.
While I think an increase would be wise, I think they're too chicken-shit politically to do it.

4. If Obama wins - that's when they will start to raise rates
From 2009-2010 they will probably raise it .25 to .50 points or more every quarter.

3. "Loan" Billions more to the Banks, print more money and
Keep the rate the same.

Since last August I have counted up a trillion dollars 'loaned' to the banks.

5. I think the rate will stay where it is
Much to the detriment of savers across the country that are probably earning about -6% at the moment thanks to inflation.

6. A hike of 1% would be smart, followed by additional hikes this year.
Time to end the bush cheap money phony economy era.
